About

WineMemoirs, like wine-making, is a labor of love. In fact, I love it enough that it can’t really be classified as labor.

I’ve been writing for newspapers and magazines since 1983. For me, it’s easy to relate to businessmen, chefs, and artisans who really get into their craft; like them, I get lost in my passions: writing and wine tasting. It just seemed natural to intertwine the two.

But this isn’t just about me; I view it as a collaborative venture. Writing for pure pleasure isn’t enough. I’d like this to be an interactive forum. As much as I want you to enjoy the posts, I’d be even happier if you choose to play a more active role. Everyone has something worth contributing.

If you’re not interested in posting replies to the stories, consider taking part in the polls that we post. Here is your chance to be a good citizen year round, and it won’t even require a stamp to cast your vote. Again, I’d like this to be an interactive community, rather than a one-way, one-dimensional news post.

I hope that you enjoy the new look and feel of the site. Please let me know. As always, I value your insights. Who knows, your input may even find its way into one of my posts (try reading “Do Not Pass Go” if you don’t believe me).

So here’s to the relaunch of WineMemoirs.com and to all of the good times ahead. Cheers!
